Hi, I’m Vladimir Jacko, a FIDE Master with nearly 20 years of chess experience and a live rating of 2378. I’ve competed in major international events, including the European Youth Chess Championship (2009, 2010) and the World Youth Chess Championship (2012), earning two IM norms along the way.
I have participated in leagues and tournaments across the USA, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, Italy, Croatia, Hungary, and Slovakia, gaining valuable experience from both team and individual competitions. These experiences have broadened my perspective on competitive chess, equipping me with insights and skills that enhance my abilities as both a player and, most importantly, as a coach.

Over the past decade, I’ve had the privilege of coaching more than 100 students of all age groups, from complete beginners to advanced players, helping them strive toward their goals and unlock their full potential.
My students have achieved impressive milestones, with some boosting their FIDE ratings by 400–500 points. For instance, one of my top students climbed from 1700 to over 2100 under my guidance. Beyond just numbers, many have passed their chess knowledge to others, proving that the results go far beyond the board. My focus remains on fostering confidence, discipline, and a lifelong passion for chess.
